Open Day Necromunda Reveals

Hi all

Home now after a really good day. Was great to actually have an exclusive look at some products for a change. Usually GW doesn't show any previews so the Custodes were a really nice touch. As always, FW had some great stuff to show. From talking to a few individuals I worry for the future of HH as a line. Nobody seemed to know much about what is going on there, with the products on display today having been completed nearly a year ago - so I heard. Necromunda is booming though and looking amazing. Here are some pictures of the next 3 hired guns:

Apparently a lot of people are planning on using the gang boxes as Imperial Guard. Really cool idea!

What do you think of the new models?

  2. Can’t wait for these to be released & good to see them painted. That is worrying about HH line.

  5. Yeah, I’d like to think I’m overreacting, but this smells the end of HH. With the team who were working on HH essentially cut in half last year in favor of Specialist Games... coupled with the release of 8th, supporting AoS, and FW basically only supporting Tau in 40k ( maybe Primaris if the Super Heavy tank sold well ) there just feels like there’s no interest at FW in the HH. WE’re constantly reminded by FW that they’re a small company and are inendated with work... so now working on T’AU, PRIMARIS, BLOOD BOWL, HOBBIT, NECROMUNDA, AOS, ADEPTUS TITANICUS(if they still have that), BATTLE FLEET GOTHIC’s return (if they have that)... there just doesn’t seem to be much time for HH. I almost feel like HH got too big for FW, they couldn’t keep up with model for books, and that they work better as a company when they SUPPORT a game that GW is running. In my opinion, HH’s only real chance for actual survival, would be if GW made a heavy push to support it with plastic units and vehicles, and letting FW simply make centerpiece models (mastodon, stormbird, etc) and characters (Primarchs etc)

  6. Models look smart I like the old deep sea diver vibe, not good about the hh news then? Did you hear anything about Lord Dorn?

  7. As long as FW keep up the production of existing HH models, we can survive. But really, this line sold so much for GW, I can only imagine that Alan's sad passing has had a big effect.

  8. Worrying about lack of clarity regarding future of HH. Can only assume as stated that loss of Alan Bligh affected it vastly. And that due to other demands on FW they dropped the ball!! Hopefully in 2018 it gets back to the HH releases we've had before!!

  9. I think the launch of so many plastic Custodes is a baaad sign for FW Heresy. I love the new models but the implementation seems.... odd.

  12. Alan Bligh was Horus Heresy as far as I'm concerned. I have serious doubts that anyone else could complete it to his superlative standard. Truly an irreplaceable loss. I think we'll at least see Angelus but I think further than that is unlikely, at least for some time.
